Cas Haley (born December 27, 1980 in Paris, Texas) is an American singer/guitarist for Season 2 of America's Got Talent who sings rock music and reggae music. He also plays in a band called Woodbelly, and plays both acoustic and electric guitars. Haley is married with a son and lives in Arlington, Texas.
Haley came to fame when he performed a rendition of the The Police cover "Walking on the Moon". Haley also earned good reviews for playing Jackie Wilson's "Higher and Higher". He was criticized, however, for choosing a blues theme in the finals for overdoing the vocals. For the top eight competition, he made a rendition of the Lionel Richie's "Easy". In the finale, the judges chose "Can't Help Falling in Love" by Elvis Presley (and covered by UB40) for him to sing. For the million dollar song, he chose "Sir Duke" by Stevie Wonder. He performed "Red Red Wine" with UB40 for his final song on the shows end. Haley was the runner-up in the second season of America's Got Talent.
Cas Haley - Walking on the Moon on America's Got Talent:
I didn't know that he was a contender on America's Got Talent, as I had never really cared to watch the show. I came across him when browsing the iTunes store. His album cover (pictured above) drew me in, and I listened to the samples of each of the songs. I couldn't believe how much he sounded like Sting (whom I love), so I downloaded his album.
His music is feel-good, fun, upbeat, and energetic. I could be in a terrible mood, and immediately hearing his voice will cheer me up. His lyrics are beautiful and emotional. I highly recommend him. In a world of similarities in the music world, he stands out like a diamond. I give this album four stars.

I still think he should have won; however maybe it was best that he didn't since there is usually a commerical sound to anyone that does win. I love his voice and my favorite song is his acoustic version of "walking on the moon." wonderful artist. Also a random bit of info: one of Cas Haleys's friends is the singer/songwriter Andrew McMahon of Jack's Mannequin & Something Corporate. Cas Haley and his band was the opening act for one of Andrew's groups and they became good friends. Andrew is finally get well-known, so I'm glad that Cas is also getting the chance to show what great talent he has.
1Wow, I didn't know all of that, very interesting.
I, too, enjoy Walking on the Moon. As soon as I heard the first note I said, "Wow, he sounds like Sting!"
2I'll have to check him out.

5haha, No problemo!
6Do you know if he tried out again for Season 3? I can't wait to see the new season of AGT that starts June 17th at 9pm on NBC!!
7He can't try out again for America's Got Talent Season 3, but there still be plenty of great new talent on this season. I'm looking forward to it.
8looove agt, and agree with leeluvfashion, that it would have been fun for him to win, but that he would have come out sounding much more produced/ commercial sounding. the new season premieres tonight and i'm sooo excited. i hear it's gonna be a fun season!!! love it!!
9Cas Haley knew that he had to grab the judge’s attention in those first 30 seconds if he wanted a shot at the big time. Well he sure did it with his rendition of "Walking On The Moon”. When you make it to the top Cas, people will remember you walking on to that AGT stage and say “He Came, He Sang, He Conquered”. Good luck with your dream Cas because you're on your way my friend!!!
