I have had this album for awhile now, and I have to say it's one of my favorites. The song 1, 2, 3, 4 is the one we all know and love, especially us Apple fans. It's the song that made her famous when the third generation iPod Nano's were unveiled. However, that song is only a taste of the eclectic style featured on her debut album.

While I could listen to this album all the time, I find it especially apt when I need to unwind and relax. Her voice is so soothing. It actually reminds me of my mother's singing voice when I was younger. Feist's song The Park reminds me of the soft lullaby's my mom used to sing to me as a child. So, I suppose this album holds some personal meaning for me, as well.

I've always had a soft spot for singer/song writers, probably because I'm a writer, myself. Her lyrics are refreshingly new, and not cliche in the slightest. Every song is a beautiful, even sometimes simplistic, poem put to music. I call her style "Sunday Afternoon Music;" very mellow and laid back - that's what you'll find on Feist's - The Reminder

4/5 Stars.
